My view on Lake Jacomo: As a child, me and my dad would tear the crappie up at our spot. I've only seen 4 Crappie caught from there in the past 2-3 years. I've caught one catfish this year. 2.5 lbs Channel. I've also caught quite a few Bluegills and other Sunfish. Only one big one.
James A. Reed - Lake Nell and CottonTail Lake: I've seen small channel cats caught off doughbait in the corner of Cottontail Lake, on the dam side. I've also caught plenty of Bluegills and other Sunfish in the same spot. I caught 20 SMALL Crappie and one FAT 14" largemouth around the spillway on the damn. My buddy caught 3 small crappie. It was around spawning time, using pink crappie jigs. We've also caught numerous Bluegills and other Sunfish off of the fishing jetty at Lake Nell off of the right side. I saw an old timer catch 4 decent but small crappie off of the left corner with a jig underneath a bobber. I caught a handfull+ small to really small largemouth bass early in the year off of pink crappie jigs. Had no luck the other day, but it was a colder morning then usual | |
